Penguin huddle
Stone lithograph - 42 x 28cm

Sold

This lithograph is based on male Emperor penguins who spend the winter huddling together incubating their eggs. To regulate their temperature they rotate almost imperceptibly 2cm at a time so that they are constantly moving from the outside to the inside of the circle. One penguin’s movement causes a Mexican wave to ripple through the huddle.
