The changing seasons with their particular characteristics; their colours, sounds and scents have a unique impact upon my thoughts, moods and feelings.  Whether stilled by the experience of sitting on the bank of a gently flowing river or overawed by the majesty of a thunder storm, I find that Nature communicates with an immediacy unparalleled by anything else.  Autumn leaves like flames, the shadow of a tree whipped by the wind across a lawn or the captured movement of water stilled in ice. Few things if any, conjured up by human beings can be as magical as those which Nature delivers on a daily basis.
