I had the best preview of an exhibition ever on Friday morning. The Gallery was empty and I could freely and unashamedly stare at your new work and it was a fine experience.
Apart from your subject matter which demonstrates a passion, there are many passages of painting which are moving in their intense beauty. Tiny swathes of intimate pigment particles like crystals, full of glow and light and colour. In the larger pictures you seem to handle these qualities really well, carefully encapsulating them within bolder washes, mistlike surfaces which are evocative of the monumental forces you have been moved by.
I loved these pictures and you should really be pleased.
